HedgeHog Hill Farm has a small herd of registered Purebred Nubian goats for show and milk production. We are proud of the strong genetics for success in both the milk pail and the show ring behind each one of our does and are excited to see where the future takes us!
We are an ADGA PLUS performance herd and very active in the show ring. We have participated in the Linear Appraisal Performance Program for the last three years (2022, 2023, 2024) and plan to continue to do so.
You can meet the junior does who make up our herd below!
Birthdate: April 11, 2024
Puff surprised us all at the 2024 Blandford Fair by going Reserve Grand Champion, which is quite the honor for a young 16 week old kid at such a competitive show! She also has the sweetest temperament and we see great things in her future.
SHOW WINS:
Junior Reserve Grand Champion at the 2024 Blandford Fair under judge Jay Rudolph
Birthdate: April 11, 2024
JrGCH and Best in Show at 2024 Caledonia Fair under Grace Toy (unfortunately not official)
Comet is Lovebug's doe kid from this year (2024). She is doing very well in the ring and seems to be the pick kid of this kid crop. She won Junior Grand Champion and Best in Show at the 2024 Caledonia Fair under judge Grace Toy. Unfortunately the win does not count towards her championship because of a tattoo issue but we are sure there will be more wins in the future!
SHOW WINS:
Jr GCH and Best in Show at 2024 Caledonia Fair under Grace Toy (not official due to tattoo issue)
Comet was second in her competitive class of intermediate kids to herdmate Puff at the 2024 Blandford Fair
Birthdate: April 11, 2024
Shiney is a major character. She has the goofiest, most problem causing temperament and is know to be a trouble maker in the cuddle sessions. She has only been out to one show this year but did quite well, getting third place in a competitive class of intermediate kids, beat out only by her herdmates Puff and Comet.

Birthdate: April 12, 2024
From the moment she was born I knew this doeling was going to be something special. I am so incredibly excited to see her mammary system, even such a ways off. Her escutcheon is so smoothly blended and she has the best teats I have seen on a kid in a long time.
SHOW WINS:
Fourth in a very competitive class of intermediate kids at 2024 Blandford fair, first through third were her herdmates
Birthdate: April 18, 2024
Starlette is the daughter of Braefell Lily, our "hidden gem" who had achieved both a permanent championship and had appraised 88VEVE before she was taken too soon at the age of four. After years of only buck kids, we are so grateful that Lily gave us two beautiful doe kids in her last kidding to fill her shoes. We are devastated at Lily's loss, and are hopeful the Starlette and her sister Pixie can achieve what their mother did and more.
SHOW WINS:
Birthdate: April 18, 2024
The sister to Starlette and also a daughter of our permanent champion Lily who we sadly lost right after kidding. Pixie had a rough start to life, coming down with pneumonia as a young kid and injuring the tips of her ears but she has bounced back and we are excited to see what the future holds for her.
SHOW WINS:
Birthdate: April 20, 2024
This doeling has the funniest temperament. She is not outright trouble but she is exceptionally nosy and adventurous. I am glad she does not have the skittish nature of her dam Cassie, but she seems to have inherited her very nice general appearance and hopefully her mammary system too!
SHOW WINS:
Birthdate: April 20, 2024
When Masquerade was born I just knew I had to keep her, how often is the doe kid the super flashy one, and with the coolest face markings! Masquerade seems to be built like a typical Abra kid, lots of length and very dairy although slower growing. As such Masquerade sat out a lot of shows as a kid in favor of her more mature herdmates. Considering the amount of mammary strength behind both her sire and her dam, I can't wait to see her udder.

Birthdate: May 17, 2024
Julep has wowed and impressed this year even with only going out to a few shows. Julep did us so proud by winning first in her class at the 2024 Big E, and as a very young kid at that! She will do great things next year for sure. She continues to show the quality of Rocky's kids.

Diva was gracious enough to give us twin doelings and such we decided with her older age and having three daughters we would retire her. We did decide to offer one of the twin does for sale and retained the slightly larger kid "Shakira". Shakira is maturing very nicely although smaller than her pen mates due to only being a June kid. She is wide with impressive depth of body and is quite sweet. It also took some fun time to figure out her sire as Diva was exposed to Rocky and Elvis, well the results showed that Elvis was the winner, being the sire to both does.
SHOW WINS:
Birthdate: March 2, 2024
Jr GCH at 2024 Blandford Fair under judge Jay Rudolph
Jr GCH at 2024 Big E (Eastern States Exhibition)
Our second token Sable in the herd is this beautiful girl Story. She may look like a Togg, but she is actually a purebred Sable! And Story did awesome in the ring, only going to two shows but managing to get AOP Jr Grand Champion at the second!
SHOW WINS:
Jr GCH at 2024 Blandford Fair under judge Jay Rudolph
