1 Leg towards Permanent Championship (Senior Grand Champion) earned at the Barnstable Fair 2022 under judge Grace Toy
July 2, 2018-April 6, 2023
Sadly we lost our beautiful Dipper to a uterine tear in spring 2023. She is survived by three daughters.
Dipper is our beautiful herd matriarch. She has a gentle, easy going temperament, is incredibly sweet, and very polite. Dipper is a wonderful mother who is very attentive to her kids right from the start. Dipper has a very nice conformation, stands easily on her feet, and is very well behaved for milking. She is a dream to hand milk, with easy teats and incredible patience on the stand.
Pedigree wise, Dipper's sire SGCH ++*B Hill's Acres "Polaris" is extremely special. He is one of our all time favorite boys, and you can see why! An AI buck, Polaris does not have a single hole in his pedigree. Polaris is especially long in the loin, with open ribbing and flatness of bone. His rump is remarkably long from hips to pins, level and flat from thurl to thurl. He is straight in the foreleg and has correct angulation to the rear leg, with strong pasterns all around. His dam was 5th place Five Year-Old at the 1998 ADGA National Show. His sire sired the 1st place Junior Get-Of-Sire and the 9th place Two Year-Old at the 2002 ADGA National Show. His littermate sister, Hill’s Acres GXY Cassiopeia, was the 1st place Junior Yearling and a member of the 1st place Junior Get-Of-Sire at the same 2002 ADGA National Show. She has now freshened and has a well attached, fancy udder. Since Polaris is the product of a very tight line breeding, he has proven to be genetically prepotent and homozygous. He has been to only one show, two rings, and was first place and Junior Champion in both. He has been used quite heavily in the Hill’s Acres herd and used by a number of other herds, both live and through AI. His kids are very distinctive and consistent throughout the variety of gene pools in which he has been used. Having the advantage of seeing a number of offspring, provides us a unique opportunity to see the “type” he is producing at a young age. A good majority of the kids are spotted, all are long, level, with good width between the hocks. Many have improved breed character and a lengthening of the bone pattern when compared to their dams.
Polaris' sire is the famous SG++B Inavalve Galaxy. Galaxy’s first Hill’s Acres daughter was, Hill’s Acres GXY Lucky Lacerta 11*M, 1-06 88 (VEVV). As a yearling “Lace” took the show circuit by storm. She was shown nine times, placing first at eight of the shows and also being awarded her first milking leg that same yearling year. As evidenced by all of the Galaxy daughters’ national show placings, they each exhibit their sire’s same elegant body style and type with deep, strong, well attached mammaries. His young stock paid tribute to his ability to pass his exceptional general appearance on by being named the 1st place Junior Get-Of-Sire at the 2002 ADGA National Show. His daughters, Hill’s Acres GXY Anudder Shaula 1-07 86 (VEVV) the 14th place Milking Yearling, Hill’s Acres GXY Nova 12*M 2-04 88 (VEEV) the 9th place 2 Year-Old and Hill’s Acres Cassiopeia the 1st place Junior Yearling at the 2002 ADGA National Show are ones to be watching for with more kin springing up all over the country after Galaxy’s progenys’ astounding performance at their first national show. Additional daughters, Hill’s Acres GXY Carina appraised 3-02 90 (VEEE) and Just As I Am GXY Mimosa appraised 4-02 88 (VVVV). A Galaxy son, No Cents Asteroid "Eclipse", recently appraised 8-04 92 (EEE).

Celia is a big, powerful doe with lots of Top Ten Breed Leaders in her pedigree. Celia is a 2016 daughter of 4*M Goddard Farm "Olallieberry" and *B Goddard Farm Rugged Rancher. Celia took Jr. Champion at the Heart of Maine Dairy Goat Association's Spring Show May 27th. 2017! Olallieberry's Dam, Raspberry, and grand dam, Bambi are both ADGA Top Ten does. Olallieberry's Dam, 3*M Goddard Farm "Raspberry", 3 times TOP TEN, was a USDA ELITE Doe August 2015. Celia's sire is *B Goddard Farm "Rugged Rancher". The Rugged Rancher's Dam, grand dam, and both great grand dams, are ADGA Top Ten Breed Leaders. The Rugged Rancher's Dam, Goddard Farm "Boracay", achieved USDA ELITE Doe status November 2014 as a first freshener and was ELITE Doe again August 2015 as a second freshener. We are so excited to have a doe with Goddard Farm "Noah Isaac" in her pedigree, plus Fox's Pride and Kastdemur, especially Kastdemur's Prince Carnival! This girl represent the combination of two extremely prominent and distinguished Nubian breeders in New England: Fox's Pride and JumpStart Farm (Harmony Herd). And she certainly shows it!
Her dam, Fox's Pride "Crowning Sunrise" is from one of the most competitive Nubian herds in New England and her sire, Fox's Pride KPC "Bachelorparty" is son of Kastdemur’s Prince Carnaval and out of the CH Fox’s Pride Brenda Lee maternal line. Prince is one of those "once in a lifetime" bucks. His milking daughter Fox's Pride "Spring Fling" finished her championship at the Big E this year, she took home several RGCH, and GCH, and BOB wins, and one Best in Show at the Acton Fair. His dry yearling daughter Fox's Pride "Spring Wings" took home 5 first place, 2 RGCH, 3 GCH, and 3 Jr Best in Show wins this show season! His daughter Machiatto finished her championship at the beginning of this show season by going GCH and BOB in both rings at the Sunny Sisters show, and Best in Show in one ring. His daughters Bazinga and Juno took home several first place and RGCH wins as well. In a quote from Fox's Pride "Prince has several champion daughters in the herd and puts not only stature and length of bone on his progeny, but the MOST consistent mammaries we have ever seen a buck produce in our 50 years of breeding Nubians. We can't express how much we love this buck." Sunrise's dam is SGCH Fox's Pride CPM "Gypsy's Aurora" LA2011 EEEE91 and her great granddam SGCH Fox's Pride FG "Gypsy Dancer" are both very competitive does, both in milk production and in the show ring. Ginger Cookie is on of our favorite does in the herd, she and her daughter Cherry made the trip all the way from South Dakota! Ginger Cookie is very correct with excellent strength in her rear pasterns, nice depth of body and nice spring of ribs. GC as she is known here, always does very well in the show ring and we are very hopeful for a champion leg for her this season. She also has a beautiful mammary system with excellent rear attachment, width, and correct teat length and placement. Always the bridesmaid never the bride, GC now has multiple RGCH wins to her name but unfortunately no GCH wins. GC has a stunning mammary but is lacking in general appearance which we aim to improve in her progeny.
Ginger Cookie officially earned her milk star in all three categories at 289DIM, producing 2883lbs of milk, 80lbs of butterfat, and 95lbs of protein.

"Cassie" has a much more traditional structure compared to her sister. Cassie has excellent width and depth of body is wide, deep, and sturdy, and has developed impressive body capacity for a 6 month old doeling. She is a bit more shy than her sister but does well in the show ring, and we are very excited to show her as a dry yearling next year! Cassie had buck/doe twins in 2023 as a ff, both stunning kids! This stunning buckling is sired by *B Wingwood Farm FA "Abraxan" who is a super exciting young buck with some impressive potential! He is out of out of ELITE doe SGCH Wingwood Farm "Lucky Altima" 2*M EX91 and sired by SGCH +*B Wingwood Farm "Finding Atlantis" EX91. Wingwood Farm says Altlantis "has a look that brings to mind the word 'extreme'... as he is extremely tall, long, smooth, and stylish. His biggest asset is his striking angularity and openness, smoothness of blending, sharpness and upstandingness, as well as plenty of length and stretch. He is extremely wide and high into the escutcheon and has a long, wide, flat rump. I am 'extremely' pleased with my Atlantis kids. They all show improved dairyness with long, lean necks, flatness and length of bone, and sharpness at the withers. I see improved general appearance with smoothness of blending in the front end and width and length of rump, and open, arched escutcheons. Atlantis is gaining the power, strength of general appearance and outstanding mammary attachment from his sire's side and the beauty, dairy character, and will to milk in his dam's side." Wingwood Farm says "Altima is one of our most balanced does. She excels in general appearance with strong feet and legs, a smoothly blended front end and nearly ideal breed character. She is very angular and dairy with an extremely well attached mammary system. She is also a very good milker milking over 2500 lbs even with single kids. In 2019 she had a stellar year in the show ring placing 3rd at the national show and was Best Doe in Show at the highly competitive Sonoma County Fair. She is also turning out to be an outstanding brood doe with her and her daughter, SG Amber, placing first in the Dam & Daughter class at the 2019 National Show." Abraxan is extremely promising and we are super excited to see what his son will produce!
